About In Another Place
The Bootle Escape Rooms are designed and run by the In Another Place Community Theatre Company and provide an immersive experience where your team is accompanied by an actor who assits you through the challenge.
Founded in 2005, In Another Place took its name and inspiration from Anthony Gormley’s “Another Place” Iron Men statues at Crosby beach, where our first performances were produced. We continue to work in collaboration with community groups, offering large creative arts projects and smaller specialist groups including our Assembly Team, Gospel Choir, Cardboard Enterprise, Giant Puppet Team, Assembly Ambassadors, and other occasional schools work!

From 2011 to 2019 we ran many events large and small in St Georges Hall, Liverpool, including our award winning Alice and Narnia Experiences. Since 2019, many of our current operations have been based in Bootle Strand Shopping Centre where we run a number of free to access workshops and events. You can find us opposit Burger King on the main floor. Our Castle Events Space (home to the Escape Room) is also in Bootle Strand, above the Post Office.
Our Escape Rooms are family friendly and are designed to enable all ages and abilities to engage together to solve puzzels, uncover the mysteries and ultimately complete the challenge to escape and save the day! The escape rooms are suitable for groups of adults and families with children aged 8 and upwards. Children must be accompanied by at least one responsible adult.
We currently have one Esape Room open and another in development so watch this space and see if you can Escape!
